Family Training for KidsAction

This online course takes up to 2 hours, and aims to help families learn about:

  • The benefits of physical activity for children with neurodevelopmental and/or intellectual disability (NDID) and how the KidsAction approach can be used to support children’s physical literacy development.
  • The core components of KidsAction, and how families can use the KidsAction approach to enhance physical activity participation for their children with NDID. This includes tips on managing behavioural issues common to many children with NDID.
  • The importance of social interaction within physical activities for families and children with NDID, and ways that parents can support social connections during physical activities.
  • How inclusive approaches and Indigenous culturally appropriate practices, including tips on building these practices into daily life.
