  • bubbles
  • 3 or more foam paddles

Description:

  1. children are spread out around the field
  2. children are instructed to pop the bubbles with their foam paddles

Safety tip: play this activity outside or make sure to wipe the floor after playing this game

Modifications to make the activity easier:

Change the task: have the child pop the bubbles with their hand to decrease physical and cognitive demand

Modifications to make the activity harder:

Change the task: have the child wait for one other child to pop a bubble before popping a bubble (i.e., take turns) to increase cognitive and social demand

Goal examples:

  • during 5 minutes of play, the child will be able to use their paddle to pop at least 10 bubbles without running into another child
  • I can pop bubbles with my friends
