Description:

  1. child jumps onto circles that are in different patterns, like a zigzag or a straight line

Modifications to make the activity easier:

Change the environment: place the circles in a straight line to decrease physical and cognitive demand

Change the task: have the child step onto the circles to decrease physical demand

Modifications to make the activity harder:

Change the environment: increase the distance between circles to increase physical demand

Change the task: have the child jump on one foot to increase physical demand

Goal examples:

  • the child will jump and land on 5 circles placed 30cm (ruler length) apart, during 4 out of 5 tries
  • I can jump from one circle to another
