Bombardment (Monster Ball)

Groups of 4

Equipment:

  • 1 foam ball
  • 4 buckets/baskets

Description:

  1. each group of 3 starts by standing on the end line of their play space facing the other team of 3
  2. each child has a small ball and a large ball is placed in the middle of the play space
  3. children throw their small ball at the large ball to roll the large ball across the end line of the opposing team

Modifications to make the activity easier:

Change the environment: have the child complete the activity in a loud room/room full of other people to increase cognitive demand

Change the environment: have the child stand closer to the large ball to decrease physical demand

Change the task: have the child roll a large ball to the large ball to decrease physical demand
